About Us and FAQs

by mykoreanboyfriend on April 2, 2010

This blog is for and about him- my boyfriend, whom I dearly love. Well, he just happens to be Korean.

FAQ’s

1. Who are you?

Yo, I’m Kring Elenzano! I’ve been a media practitioner for quite some time now and I direct and produce shows (TV or online) for a living. I do some hosting and acting, too, here and there (that’s my ultimate goal in life- to be a SUPARSTAR)! I’m also a blogger, videoblogger and writer and a Gawad Kalinga advocate. And for 20+ years, I was NBSB until I got together with Yong-jin, which makes him my first boyfriend.

2. Who is he?

He’s Jimmy Kim Yong-jin, a guy in his 20′s from Seocho-gu, Seoul (he claims it’s also Gangnam -_-). He just finished his bachelor degree in La Salle and is now trying to establish his own business so he can buy his Porsche though we all know how impractical it is to drive a Porsche in Manila. I told him to just get a Hummer.

3. Why did you start this blog?

I seriously just wanted chronicle our moments together and immortalize them on the net. Have you seen My Sassy Girl? That movie was based on an online journal, which was super famous in Korea in the 90′s. Yup, you guessed it right! I was inspired by that, mainly because I LOVE THE MOVIE LIKE WHOAH and who knows, someday a studio might pick up our story!

4.What if you guys break-up?

Of course I had thought about that when I opened this blog and honestly, there are two options: 1) get my self a NEW Korean boyfriend and 2) leave it be online. It seems like it inspires and entertains people and that’s one of the reasons why I continue to write anyway. Also, if in case it gets turned into a movie, it doesn’t matter if it’s a happy or a sad ending, right? I just want to be played by Sarah Geronimo.

5. I see you in A LOT of Kpop events. Do you love Kpop so much?

Girls and boys, I’ve been a Kpop fan since 2004. I have left and come back to the fandom. I wouldn’t be wasting my time and effort if I don’t like it, right? However, my world does not revolve around it. I have built a career and have a life outside of it. Besides, most of the activities that I’m involved in are for fund-raising and awareness so it’s not just like total fangirl spasm. Kpop is fandom and shouldn’t be taken seriously. It’s supposed to make you happy and inspired, not stressed.

6. Can we invite you to our events and will you post about our events, too?

Go ahead! Please send us your invites. I normally just write about things that mean and matter to me or things that I believe in and am willing to endorse so yeah… :) But please email me at yeojachingu@gmail.com. Also, I’m sorry but I don’t post about everything and anything Korean-related here. Just the ones that tickle my fancy.

7. Do you accept ads and advertorials?

Yes, of course! As per # 6, we’d prefer to experience and check it first though.

8. When do you plan to get married?

When I become an legit, established celeb with my own business and he’s earned and saved up A LOT of moolah. Which is not anytime soon.

Hey, I don’t know what the future has in store for us but I certainly am enjoying every minute of my life with him. Hope you have fun reading this blog. It’s full of cheese and crack.
