Since I opened the blog, mykoreanboyfriend.com, I have received numerous emails and messages from readers asking me about the Korean culture or just telling me how much they love Korea. Indeed, many people are interested to know more about it and unfortunately, I can only share so much on my blog. Besides, I wouldn’t consider my self an expert.
But my friend, Cherish Maningat-Bae is. She’s my partner on the hit video “How To Get a Korean Boyfriend”, which currently has more than half a million views on YouTube. Cherish has been living Seoul for more than 5 years now and is married to a nice Korean man.
Cherish and I are very much aware that many Filipinos would want to know the basics of the Korean culture and since she’s in town this March, we have decided to share our knowledge about it “in real life”! This March 3, 2012 we will be holding the first “Korean 101″ session at the Beehive Events Place, Maginhawa St., Quezon City. It’s gonna be fun, informative and definitely worth it!
Please do not judge this poster. I’m not a graphic artist. At least I tried… ^^;;

The 6-hour interactive session is subdivided into four (4) different classes:
1. ANNYEONG: Basic Korean Language (3 hours)
2. INSA AND MUNHWA: Etiquette and Cultural Differences (1 hour)
3. MASHITNE: Food and Cooking Lessons* (1 hour)
4. NE STYLE YA: All About Fashion and Beauty (1 hour)
The courses are basic and are from a Filipina’s perspective but rest assured you’d have fun while learning. Ms. Bae will be the instructor for all of the classes and there will also be games and a question and answer portion in between classes.
The session starts at 10am until 4:30pm (with 30-minute lunch break). It’s only Php 600 for all the four classes but the slots are very limited. It also includes lunch. Also it’s a one-day only event so you wouldn’t want to miss it! Who knows, you might even be part of out next video!
This is open to anyone – females and males of any age (though talkative, crazy women will be facilitating so you might want to consider that).
