10 Things I Miss About My Korean Boyfriend

As you all probably know, I’m in a pseudo-long distance relationship with Jimmy Kim. Pseudo because it’s just temporary and he flies back and forth a lot. He left for Korea late July and had a one-week vacation here last October. He was in Manila again from late November until the first week of January for C.N.A. but he’s now back in Korea. Bottom line, he’s not with me at the moment and I miss him to bits. Especially when he sent me this photo:

Perfect background music for this shot: Alone by Celine Dion.
“Till noooow I always got by on my own, I never really cared until I met youuuu~”

And it made me realize there are 10 things I miss most about my boyfriend.

1. I miss cooking for him.

I really don’t cook. You will never find me in the kitchen. But for some reason, I enjoy cooking for my bebe that it even creeps me out sometimes. When he was here last December, I didn’t get to cook for him ‘coz we were barely home. When he comes home next month or on March, I swear I’ll make 김치 찌개 kimchi jjigae for him FROM SCRATCH. That’s right, even the kimchi will be from scratch ‘coz I’m gangstah like that!

2. I miss holding his hand.

If you’ve seen us together – not working or doing something important – chances are we were holding hands. I loooove holding his hand because believe it or not, his hands especially the palms are softer than mine! I kid you not! He doesn’t even wear lotion regularly! And for some weird reason, his hand fits perfectly with mine. Must be distini.

3. I miss his fugly face.

Okay, I’m sorry. He’s not really ugly per se and I’m aware that there are some girls and gays who have a crush on him and think he’s cute. Yes he is cute but not in a Taemin or Jang Geun Seok kind of way. He has a really dorky face especially when he’s trying to be cute or trying to make his eyes bigger. He’s so fluffy I’m gonna die!

Ladies and gentlemen, I love this face to bits. Will never trade it for a night with a hot male model. Oh wait.

4. I miss smelling him.

Yes, I do and if you find this funny then clearly, you’re 12 years old. If you’ve heard of the concept of pheromones, well, that pretty much took effect soon as I met Jimmy. Sometimes, I’d even ask if I could smell his chest/shoulder/neck area, regardless of how sweaty he is or even if he hasn’t taken a shower yet because it makes me feel… happy (?) and secure. I guess you could say we’re compatible smell-wise! Hahaha.

5. I miss shooting Krimmy videos with him.

And I think some of our followers do, too. In the past half a year, he’s been kind of really busy and somehow we never got the chance to shoot a proper video the whole time he was here over the holidays. Haaayyy… What to do? I miss our crack together! Don’t get me wrong, we’re still crazy when we’re together but we haven’t documented it on video in a while. Anyway, would you guys have any suggestions/ideas/requests for our next videos? Prease to share?

6. I miss eating out with him.

Soon as he got back from Korea last October, the first thing that he told me was “I’m angry. Why are you so skinny?” Hahaha! ‘Coz you weren’t here, that’s why! You see, for more than I year, I got so used to eating out with him that while he was gone, I didn’t feel the need to eat out. I’m not a foodie anyway to begin with and with exercise and my new-found addiction for tea (I’m drinking a cup now in fact), I lost weight. When he’s here though, we kind of eat out. A LOT. Almost everyday. Heck, we even review restos, right?

Not like we’re hungry or anything but that’s how Koreans roll..

 7. I miss going to church with him.

I dunno, it feels really special. I personally need some reconnection with my faith but I like to pray and I’m happy that I get the chance to do it with him. Sometimes I wonder though if he really prays in church and what he prays for but he says it’s between him and God. LOLZ. Also, in case you’re wondering, we’re both Catholics.

8. I miss bickering with him.

When people ask me if we ever fight and what do we fight about, I have think long and hard before I can come up with an answer because to be honest, I can count with my left hand the number of times that we’ve actually fought. Most of the time, it was even instigated by me ‘coz I’m a drama queen like that. Hahaha. I’m very lucky that my boyfriend knows how to handle my intensity. We do, however, bicker all the time – in a cute way. I’m sure you’ve seen us have petty arguments on our videos. I haven’t had that kind of connection with anyone and most of our bickering end up with him tickling me to death. Maturity FTW!

9. I miss his photography.

Without bias, I have to say Jimmy Kim is one of the best photographers that I personally know and he doesn’t even fuckin’ brag about it *cough cough*. But I do and I will ‘coz I know my man is GOOD! He took the photos here and his name was even on the cover of the PULP magazine SuJu/2NE1 edition!

Also, he doesn’t go around telling everyone to be a “photographer” (if you know what I mean…)

Since he left for Korea last July though, his Canon 5D together with its lenses have been just sitting in my room collecting dust. I want to see him work his magic again because if not, I’m taking photography lessons and will just use his equipment. YES THAT IS A THREAT, KORYANBOI!!!

10. I miss waking up and seeing his face first thing in the morning.

It makes me realize that all those years of unrequited love and frustrations and being NBSB up until I was a old enough to get married were all worth it. And that I made the right choice.

Love you bebe! Miss you to bits!

I feel ur pain ms.kring.I’ve been with my korean bf for  2 years and 4 months now and a big part of it or should i say most part of it is in a long distance situation..the longest time we’ve been together in the Philippines is for 6 months followed by his usual 3 days and 2 nights visit every 3-4 months coz his work in a production company is very tedious..but i know both of u can surpass all hurdles and goodluck with all ur endeavors!

Hi Kring! I feel your pain… When does he get back? And as a couple, are you more likely to settle (long term) in the Philippines or in Korea?  Btw, I think you guys make an ADORABLE couple. That video of him eating balut continues to be one of my favorites.  ”It was chicken already…” Hahaha! So cute!

Awww.. good luck on your relationship, too! Although Jimmy is really based in Manila so we’re not in a LDR which would suck major balls and I warned him that I’d break up with him if that’s the set-up. Idk, just my personal preference. ^^ And thanks for always supporting us! <3
