So as I’ve been mentioning on Facebook, Jimmy Kim and I are Korea-bound this month and we’re actually gonna be there from May 16-June 1. Not bad, huh? It’s for his business and I’m just there to shop, cam-whore and watch the Dream Concert 2011 on May 28. *spazzes* I srsly threatened to break up with him if he can’t get us tix for this event.
I normally don’t get THIS excited for an out-of-the-country trip but this is the first for me and bebe together and well, I’ll finally get to meet the family and barkada. Dude, that’s like a BIG DEAL. My Korean friend freaked out when she learned that I met his dad already (more on this meeting the parents issue next time). Anywayyy… So yeah, I’m super duper ready for the trip and because I’m Filipino like that, I’m actually bringing more pasalubong than clothes.
How much dried mangoes are we allowed to bring in to Korya?
I bought heaps of dried mangoes of 3 different brands only to be told that the “Cebu” brand is the Koreans’ favorite AND I DIDN’T BUY ANY OF THOSE fuuuuuuuu!!! Philippines and Joanna were the most expensive so I thought they’re the best-sellers! I also got broas for the 할머니 halmeoni (grandma) and otap for I don’t know who. Oh, and ChocNut, of course!
As I’ll also be meeting my Pinoy friend, Cheng, I also bought Nesvita for her, plus UFC banana ketchup and Mang Tomas. And all sorts of sinigang mixes (orinigal, 2 in 1 with granules, with gabi, etc.) and even an afritada mix! Hahaha I think her hubby likes sinigang! She also requested some Reno Liver Spread and ensaymada. Girl, Lily’s peanut butter, you want? Seems like a Pinoy mini-grocery business in Seoul would be a good idea! And beside it would be a “hilot spa”. Lulz.
Of course I’m bringing other things, not just pasalubong, silly! Last time I went there, it was winter so my bag was really bulky because of the thick clothes. It’s springtime now and because I’ve recently been fascinated with floral dresses, that’s gonna be my “style” there. Shuddup. Spring is the new summer, okay? I’ll make it work.

I think my T-money card is still working and uhm what else? Oh! Of course I’m bringing my hair iron, too! And money. Lotsa money for shopping definitely not at 압구정 Apgujeong ! Wait. Why am I gonna spend? Ain’t I supposed to be with Jimmy?!
But I’m kind nervous though. Jimmy is a 강남 Gangnam boy and his barkada are Gangnam people who apparently wear expensive shit (not literally ‘coz that would be gross) and are kinda loaded. They’re from Gangnam, after all. I hope they’re not like the Nuthang clique because I’d totally freak out, but looking at Yongjin, naaaah I doubt it! I’m excited to meet them because they know my boyfriend more than anyone in the world but I dunno why I have this dreaded feeling that they’re gonna judge me and my 3rd-world country ways. Whatever, I’ll just tell you guys about it when we get back.
When I meet them, I’ll make sure I look like this. Let’s see if they don’t get intimidated by my tiara, falsies and nails.
I’ll also bring this laptop so I can blog and update my SNS accounts from Korya~ I heard we’re not just gonna be in Seoul and would most likely visit other places as well like 광주 Gwangju, 대구 Daegu, 인천 Incheon, etc. *crosses fingers* It should be a fun trip! We’ll make Krimmy videos!
I’ll also try to buy official VIP and Blackjack merch and stalk the YG bldg again! And when we get back, it’s the 2NE1 concert asdfghjkl too much excitement and awesomeness in a month!!!!!! *pees in my pants*
